Arrange a wreath

Hello again,
I do hope this finds you well. With the sun shining and the brightly coloured flowers that are out I decided that I would do a bright design! So for this  I have been trying out the new arrange a wreath bundle from the current  stampin'up catalogue. I opted to use water colouring before die cutting some of the elements, flowers and hearts. I have not used this technique for some time and it was good to do again.  I also used the new stacked stone large background stamp for the background for my card.
This set is very  versatile and covers several special times, Easter, Christmas, love and giving thanks as well as other occasions. The  stamps and dies go very well together.

For my card I used Smokey slate, soft sea foam, just jade and magenta madness

Whale Done

Hello again,
Wow this new catalogue has so many lovely things to try. Today I have been having a play with the whale of a time suite. One thing I would love is to be by the seaside at the present time. Last year on my holiday around this time I braved a boat trip ( those who know me will know for me this is a very big deal) to go dolphin watching. It was amazing, the dolphins swam up and around the boat really showing off. This year I was going to do similar but this time whale watching on what was to be my big trip to Canada, unfortunately a global pandemic put paid to that so when this suite came I couldn't resist it to just look at the whale and hope for a trip in the future.  I love the whale but there is so much more in the stamp set. The whole suite goes really well together. I love the whale punch not only does it punch out the stamped image but one of the papers has pre printed whales that it will also punch out. The embossing folder gives lovely background texture to cards the sequins have some shell shapes included and the sheer ribbon looks quite sparkly.
Today I am going to show a couple of the cards I have made using this suite.

Emboss resist technique Tasteful touches and field of flowers

Hello,
I do hope all is well with you today. Currently the sun is out and the birds are singing. I have a bit of a flowery theme today as at present the flower that I see all about are delightful.
Today I am posting a couple of my latest challenge that I took part in with 2 other local demonstrators. The challenge was to make a card to use the emboss resist technique. There are many posts on line where people use this technique, (see You tube, Pinterest.) I am hoping to cover this technique in one of my on line classes very soon.  It's a fun one to learn using heat embossing and then blending with your inks using sponges, brayers or daubers. For the cards  I used 2 of the new stamp sets that are available in the new 2020-2021 Annual Stampin'up! catalogue.

1. Tasteful Textures is a cling stamp set with has some lovely background stamps as well as the beautiful flower and feathers. The colours used are the new in colours for 2020-2022 Misty moonlight, just jade, there is a touch of bumblebee and the flower is the new magenta madness. The embossing was done using white embossing powder. the sentiment is from the same set and the die shape is using the tasteful label which match in with this stamp set.

2. Field of flowers again I used white embossing powder, the background was made by using just jade, bumblebee, misty moonlight and a very light application of magenta madness. After the embossing was completed then the stems and yellow flowers were stamped onto the card, excess ink was then wiped off of the embossed area so it looks like the flowers are behind the white one. Other inks used , pretty peacock and so saffron. The card is mounted onto pretty peacock cardstock that has been embossed through the new tasteful textile folder.

I do hope you enjoyed looking at these cards. Thank you for popping by. I look forward to my next blog soon. Stay safe

Boho Indigo product medley change of colour

Hello again, Thank you for visiting my blog. After a lull in posts this will be my second in short succession! Today I have decided to enter the SUPC251 colour challenge blog.
The colours given were
Costal cabana, soft suede and petal pink
Over the last couple of days I have been loving the boho indigo product medley. I love the misty moonlight,  garden green, very vanilla and gold but I fancied trying this using another colour palette.  When I was sent the colours for this challenge I thought I'd try them using the stamps and dies from the boho indigo set.
I am pleased with the results and it's a brilliant way to show that stampin'up designs don't just have to follow exactly as set.

Until next time hugs and blessings to you

Posted for you

Hello,
I trust you are well and enjoying time crafting. Since the last blog, the new catalogue from stampin'up has launched. There are some delightful products available. For this blog I have chosen to use the new posted for you bundle. This has a stamp set that has a punch that goes with it. I wanted to make a few simple note cards to send out. Below is the design I created for these.

I used a whisper white notecard, a small piece of the new misty moonlight in colour cardstock  a small piece of petal pink card and a piece of balmy blue cardstock.
The ink used for all the stamping is misty moonlight.
1. I punched a postage stamp out of each of the 3 different coloured card
2.I  then stamped an image ontoeach of the punched pieces
3. I placed the notecard in landscape position and stamped sentiment along bottom of card to right side
4. The stamps were attached with adhesive across the card
5. To complete the cicular special delivery stamp was stamped over 2 of the images as per photo.
A very quick card to do and very easy to batch make

Thank you for popping by.
If you would like to purchase any of the products used for this card please follow the link to the catalogue.
Until next time
Hugs and blessings
