Butterfly wishes

Hello
I trust you are keeping well still. Today the weather here in the UK has been lovely, sunny and warm and it's still only May. The flowers in the garden are coming out and also this week as well as the lots of new birds we have seen lots of butterflies. The theme for my card today.

Over the past few weeks I have been trying to use up my current DSP before I turn my attention to the new. For Stampin'up demonstrators this is a very exciting time of year as it heralds the start of a new catalogue, new in colours, new stamps, dies and products. However there is still time whilst stocks last to get some of the outgoing products, some are even discounted so take a look at the store at the last chance products to see if anything catches your eye.

This week I needed to make a quick birthday card for someone I know se loves butterflies so I wanted to have some on her card.

The paper is from the retiring perennial essence DSP, the sentiment from the retiring painted glass stamp set. The butterflies from the ongoing butterfly wishes and the dies from the  ongoing painted label dies.

Stay safe and until next time hugs and blessings to you.

Sail away, free as a bird and to a wild rose

Hello
How are you? This past few weeks I have been doing lots of batches of cards using up some of my dsp and stamp sets to make cards to send out to folk from the Church I attend to say they are being thought of during during the current covid 19 pandemic.
As well as doing something I love, it has been quite a marathon as I needed
150 +  cards. I certainly haven't photographed them all but I put a couple of sets together to put here on my blog.
To make the cards  I cut 6x6 inch dsp  paper into 4x3inch 3x2 inch 3x3 then cut this piece into 2 triangles and finally 2 pieces of  1 1/2 × 3inch.
I have used embossing folders, dies and stamps some of which are retiring soon and others that will be staying in the new catalogue.

Sail away
Free as a bird
To a wild rose

Thank you for stopping by. Please leave me a comment below.
If you wish to purchase any of the products seen or try last chance for those items that are going to be leaving soon please click on my shop.
Until next time, keep safe and well. Hugs and blessings to you.

Masking technique with positive thoughts and beautiful friendship stamps

Hello friends
Today I did my second class on line. I am learning more as I go along and it's great to share in a different way what I love with others.
I hope you are managing to spend some time crafting. It is a good time to try some different things whilst we are unable to go out much or if at all.

The technique i used today is called masking, it has been around ever since I started stamping ( a long time now 🙂)   and can be used in a variety of ways. Today I chose to use a circle to mask an area that would allow for stamping around the edge a floral display.
The simple stamping  base can then be used for more advanced cards which is shown  in the picture below.

The stamp sets used were positive thoughts and beautiful friendship
I used Rococco rose, mint macaron, gorgeous grape, so saffron and pear pizazz inks.
All items can be purchased from stampin'up links are on this page.

Host code for May (for orders under £150 ) is JTXUY72R
Any orders will then be shipped directly to you.

Thank you for dropping by
I will catch up with you again soon
Hugs and blessings
Ruth xx
